I would love to visit SodaBottleOpenerWala on my every visit to Gurugram. The place is like a pledge to revive and sustain the legacy and heritage of Parsi and Irani food. In fact, the ambiance, decor, service, food, and taste collectively say it all. This is, as a matter of fact, a place where culture, heritage, and legacy meet at a single point.
This is my first visit to any Irani and Parsi restaurant in Delhi NCR. And in fact, this is the second visit to such restaurants in my lifetime. The first visit was in a small restaurant in Worli Naka in Bombay in 1987. On my recent revisit to the same place in Mumbai I came to know it I closed for long. Since my first visit I was craving for Irani Chai and Vada Pav I used to have there during my stay. And finally, I got it here. In fact, it was a lot more than these at SodaBottleOpenerWala.
SodaBottleOpenerWala A Legacy of Parsi and Irani Food
From Bar Snacks at SodaBottleOpenerWala I had two fabulous recipes – Tareli Macchi and Parsi Style Jumbo Prawn. It was a learning on how to eat Tareli Macchi in a special way. Caramel Custer is a must have dessert after you finish your food or snacks here. There are All The Good Things to try. I had Vada Pav, Cafreal Salad, and Crispy Corn Bhel. And all three are unique in presentation and taste. Probably that you will not find anywhere else. From the Main Course, we had Paneer Sanju Baba, Paatra Ni Macchi, and Tarela Rainbow Trout. In addition, Jaloo’s Famous Malai Na Paratha was like the cherry on the cake. And finally my favorite Irani Chai. In fact, I also tried Parsi Choy for the first time in my life at SodaBottleOpenerWala.
Since I was not able to try other recipes on my first visit to this place, another visit is definitely due. It is indeed a lovely experience being here at SodaBottleOpenerWala.
