Sumitra Mahajan, Speaker, Lok Sabha, felicitates with National Tourism Awards. Always Ministry of Tourism organizes the function. In fact, various segments include Travel, Tourism, and Hospitality. Besides these are for the year 2014-15. Furthermore, Mahesh Sharma, Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Tourism and Culture was presiding over the function. Nonetheless, representation at the National Tourism Awards function was from various stakeholders related to tourism, travel, and hospitality. The Chief Guest Sumitra Mahajan conveys best wishes to all the winners. Moreover, she expects better opportunities ahead for each stakeholder. In fact, more opportunities open doors for achieving greater heights. This is possible through enhancing service level and striving for excellence. Overall, it can become a most rewarding industry. While praising the selection of awardees she says it is all because of their hard work in the industry. As a matter of fact, all these winners are doing their job with perfection and are the frontrunners. As a matter of fact, they are the key Representatives of the country. While tourists interact most with these representatives, it matters a lot.

While quoting examples of Gulliver and Vasco De Gama, she says travel is an unforgettable experience for everyone. With the expansion of Tourism industry, the journey has become easier for tourists and travelers. Furthermore, Rural Tourism is also playing a key role. Especially the rich Rural tourism in Konkan region is a prime example. While each tourist represents his or her country, what they experience here is most important. Because that is what creates an image of our country. And that image goes to their country with them.

National Tourism Awards Function

It is quite important to adopt a regular dose of me-tooism from the countries that are top in tourism. In my opinion, there is a lot more to be taken care of in our tourism industry. Though a lot of efforts have already been put and the process has improved. But there is always a scope for further improvement. As a matter of fact, a positive approach is a very important factor in the tourism industry. Tourism industry should focus more on transforming the experience. As a result, it will automatically enhance the scope of industry and revenue.

Firstly, it is important to learn that this is a very versatile industry. In fact, the stakeholders are from multiple segments. Moreover, these include large to small comapnies. In addition, there are indiviuals that play a major role in the industry. For example even a guide is a an important factor. As a matter of fact, experience from each stakholder counts a lot. Subsequently, it is the experience that a tourist takes back to his or her country. After all, if it is a bad experiencefrom any end, it makes a big differnce. Because word of mouth spreads faster than any other media.
