When you meet Hugo Wang, Sales Director, Moon of Taj, it sounds like meeting Rancho of 3 Idiots. The guy has his own clear-cut vision that is broader and crispier than anybody in his age would have. A very down to earth person who is eager to pour his heart out, Wang hails from a rural place in Taiwan. He is few of those who understand the core of life at quite an early stage. After finishing his studies from IIM Ahmedabad in 2011, he joined as Factory Manager of a multinational company 7-Eleven. But very soon the Chef within him guided him to carve his own path in the way he desires. And then there was a love for India in his heart that brings him back here. He is his own mentor, guide, coach, and boss. He competes with himself to excel in his field.

Moon of Taj

Probably Wang is born with a sweet tooth and therefore Moon of Taj has emerged just a few months back in Lajpat Nagar. But within a short span of time it has become quite popular in the nearby vicinities. It is because the sweets here are having an altogether different concept. When we talk of Indian sweets a lot of shortcomings come to our mind. Like shorter shelf life, too sweet, high calories, unhygienic, and quality. All these shortfalls find no place at Moon of Taj. Every product is innovative, well researched, low in calories, high in taste, and completely hygienic. This small outlet has plenty to offer. This is, in fact, a great amalgamation of the cultures of two countries keeping both of them traditions alive. In addition, quality and hygiene are on top of everything else.

Moon of Taj Having Indian Heart

Broadly, you will find two key products at Moon of Taj. All products are vegetarian. In few of the recipes, Wang uses eggs. But there are many products that are totally egg-less. The two key products are Tarts and Nougats. Both are traditional Taiwanese dishes. But you will find most of the variants’ evolution in Indian way. There is a regular experimentation to develop different combination flavors and tastes. Unlike Indian traditional sweets the shelf life of these products is easily over 30 days. In Nougats you will find Vanilla and Chocolate variants. And in Tarts you have Latte Butter, Cheese Pineapple, Chocolate Orange, and Mint Mango besides many other combinations. All these products are rich in diet, low in sugar, and hence a must try for any age, any occasion.
