House of Commons is in Connaught Place. It is just opposite to the Shanker Market. It is in M Block. Precisely it is M-39, Outer Circle, Connaught Place. Delhi Metro connects well with the place. If you take exit 3 and 4 from there, it will be nearer. Otherwise walking in CP is always welcome. House of Commons is on the second floor of M-39. From the ground, you will have to climb a few stairs to catch a lift. The moment you enter inside, you are in a different world. It is a world of dimly lit place with a lot of antique items. There are some special light effects highlighting these antique items. The complete hall is L shape. Hence L for Lounge. Ambiance, Hospitality, and decor is good. Rather it is perfect to create your mood towards food and drinks.
Rating it less than 5 will be a crime against the tastiest ever food here. When we met the Chef at the end, after we were through with the food, drinks, and desserts, there was nothing as a suggestion that came out from anyone among us. Rather, it was all praises for the food. Just a word of caution, few of the started are quite heavy and you will have to resist yourself in overeating so that you keep some space for the main course. You will have to control your tastebuds many a time. Especially fish fry, Grilled prawns, Chicken Tikka, Hand Pulled Mutton Tacos are irresistible.
House of Commons is A Perfect Dining Experience
While every dish is tasty, I will name which I would not like to miss on my next visit, and rather every visit. Laal Maas and Lachcha Paratha in the main course made a superb combination. Mutton Ghilafi Kabab, Fried Calamari (squid), and non-veg mezze platter in Appetizers were a class apart. Basil Chicken and smoked garlic pizza were fantastic. In fact, Palak Patta chat is also a must try.
